Tokyo oldest temple, fronted by the lantern-lit Nakamise shopping street.

Founded in 645 AD, Senso-ji is Tokyo most visited temple. Pass through the giant Kaminarimon gate and browse Nakamise-dori toward the incense-wreathed main hall. Come early morning to beat the crowds.
